SUMMARY

I am passionate about and commited to serving the needs of each of my  students and my classes. I  utilize therapeutic movement, an understanding of learning styles and multiple intelligences, scientific observation and an artistic sensibility to support my students' learning and growth.  I seek to cultivate curiosity, confidence, initiative and effectiveness in 5th – 9th grade students. I design programs to meet the need for meaning and connection in  middle and high school students. I have experience teaching in the unique environment of and students in international schools,  'English as Another Language' students and applying Waldorf practices in  non-Waldorf schools.
I am experienced as a mentor.  I especially love mentoring by example- wherein I teach a science unit while the teacher sits in and observes.
I also have experience with  consensus model facilitation and decision – making.
